TriageBox AI Gmail Checker — Terms of Service

Effective date: 29 July 2026 · Contact: paulfaisant@gmail.com

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of TriageBox AI Gmail Checker (also called “TriageBox”), the browser extension and related public pages (the “Service”). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Summary: TriageBox AI Gmail Checker is provided free of charge, as-is, for personal productivity. It runs in your browser, has no developer backend, and you remain responsible for how you use Gmail, Calendar, and any AI keys you supply.

1. Who we are

triageBox is published by an individual developer (contact: paulfaisant@gmail.com). There is no company account required to use the extension.

2. What the Service does

triageBox helps you triage your own Google account from the browser: Gmail unread badge and actions (for example archive, snooze, mark read, label), optional Google Calendar agenda and event actions, and optional AI summaries or scores when you supply your own API key. Features may change over time with extension updates.

3. Eligibility and accounts

4. Your responsibilities

4a. Bulk actions, and what they mean

TriageBox can act on thousands of messages in one confirmed step — archive, apply a label, mark read, unsubscribe, or move to Trash — through its Bulk sweep and triage screens. Before any of that runs, the extension resolves the exact live count and shows it to you; large deletions ask for a second confirmation and, past a threshold, for a typed word. You confirm the action, and it is your mailbox: please read the count and the group it names before you press the button.

4b. AI output

Scores, summaries, risk and phishing signals, and suggested groupings are produced by a third-party model using your own API key. They are assistive and can be wrong: do not rely on them as a security verdict, as legal, financial or medical advice, or as a substitute for reading a message that matters. Deciding what to delete remains yours.

5. Privacy

How data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy. In short: triageBox has no developer server and does not collect your email for the developer; processing happens in your browser and with Google / optional AI providers you configure.

6. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties you may connect, including Google (Gmail, Calendar, optional Gemini) and optional xAI (Grok). Their terms and privacy policies apply to those services. triageBox is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google or xAI except as a client of their public APIs under their respective programs.

7. Optional donations and future paid features

Voluntary donations (for example via Revolut or crypto addresses listed on the donate page) are optional and do not create a paid subscription, warranty, or service-level commitment. If paid features are introduced later, separate pricing and terms will be disclosed before you buy.

8. Intellectual property, trademarks and independence

The triageBox name, branding, and packaged extension code are owned by the publisher or its licensors. You may use the published extension as distributed through the Chrome Web Store or other channels we authorise. You may not misrepresent yourself as the publisher or redistribute modified builds as “official” triageBox.

triageBox is an independent tool, not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Google or by any other company named in it. Gmail, Google Calendar, Google and Chrome are trademarks of Google LLC; xAI and Grok are trademarks of X.AI Corp. Every other product name that appears in the extension — including in its product comparison — is a trademark of its owner and is used only to identify the product being referred to, which is what the law calls nominative use. No such owner has reviewed, approved or endorsed triageBox or anything it says.

8a. The product comparison inside the extension

Settings → Product comparison scores triageBox against other tools. It is provided for information only. Every figure is the publisher's own judgement, formed from material those vendors published about themselves on the date printed at the top of that screen, and each row links to the source it was read from. It is not a certification, a benchmark, or a statement of fact about any other company's business; prices are indicative bands that change without notice, and no product's inclusion or omission is an endorsement or a criticism of it. If something there is wrong or out of date, the screen has a correction link and the publisher would rather be told than be right — write to paulfaisant@gmail.com and it will be corrected or removed.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Gmail, Calendar, or AI results will be accurate or complete.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PUBLISHER IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, MAIL, CALENDAR EVENTS, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. IF LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, IT IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID THE PUBLISHER FOR THE SERVICE IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS, OR (B) ZERO IF THE SERVICE IS FREE.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example certain consumer rights in the UK/EU).

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold the publisher harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your API keys, or your violation of these Terms or third-party terms (including Google’s).

12. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms by publishing a new version at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. You may stop using triageBox at any time by uninstalling it and revoking Google access. We may discontinue or modify the Service, including store listings, without notice.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply and cannot be waived. Courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to those mandatory rights.
