Bulk unsubscribe Gmail — then sweep what's left, with the count in front of you
TriageBox unsubscribes per exact sender, so a company's statements can survive while its marketing stops. Then Bulk sweep groups the leftover pile and shows a live count — “412 to archive, 23 starred kept” — before anything moves. No API key for core cleanup. AI optional. No TriageBox mailbox server.
This is not an “unsubscribe all 400 lists” button, and it is not Gmail's Manage subscriptions view. It is the Chrome extension for people whose problem is the pile: stop the next mail, then clear what already arrived.

Gmail already unsubscribes
Use Gmail for a handful of senders. Use TriageBox for the pile.
Same mailbox, different job
Gmail on the web vs TriageBox
Facts from Gmail's published Manage subscriptions help and from the live Chrome Web Store listing for TriageBox. No invented ratings.
| What you need | Gmail | TriageBox |
|---|---|---|
| Unsubscribe one promotional sender | Manage subscriptions, or the Unsubscribe header on a message. One sender at a time. | Per exact sender — List-Unsubscribe / one-click POST, including from spam review |
| Stop future mail and clear the backlog | Two jobs: unsubscribe, then search from: and select-all |
Same sender group: unsubscribe, then confirm a live count to archive or delete |
| Exact count before a bulk change | Gmail shows how many conversations you selected. Large ops use “Select all conversations that match this search”. | Every bulk action re-counts live: “412 to archive, 23 starred kept” |
| Keep statements, stop marketing | Gmail treats the From address Gmail shows. Easy to hit a whole company. | Per exact sender, so invoices and statements can survive |
| Undo after a mistake | Gmail undo snackbar; Trash for about 30 days | Recently removed restore tray. Archived mail stays in All Mail. Deleted mail sits in Gmail Trash for 30 days. |
| On your phone | Gmail app and web | 0 / 10 — desktop Chrome only |

How bulk unsubscribe and sweep actually run
Add to Chrome installs this product, not the in-extension nightly log. These are the steps on a signed-in Gmail account you are authorised to use.
- Install and connect Gmail. Desktop Chrome or another Chromium browser. Google shows the account and permissions you are authorizing; verification warnings depend on the release and account. No TriageBox account.
- Unsubscribe per exact sender. From the popup or from spam review, send the List-Unsubscribe / one-click POST for that sender. Marketing can stop; statements from a different exact address at the same company are not included. Success is not something TriageBox can prove.
- Sweep the leftover pile with the number in front of you. One scan groups mail by sender, domain, category or age (cap 20,000 per scan; a stopped scan resumes). Archive or delete a group only after a live recount. Starred and Gmail-important mail can be excluded. Delete is red, behind a second confirmation; past 200 threads you type the word.
- Undo if you were wrong. Recently removed is a restore tray. Archived mail stays in All Mail. Deleted mail sits in Gmail's Trash for 30 days. Counts are what Gmail confirmed it changed, never what was requested.
Unsubscribe is per sender
Not a mass “kill every list” control. That is the point: invoices and statements can stay while the newsletter stops.
Sweep with the count first
Sender, domain, category or age. Live recount before archive, label or delete. Same confirmation story as the store listing.
Scam checks, no key
Gmail's SPF/DKIM/DMARC stamp, the address a reply would really reach, and attachment type. Summaries still need your own key, and are optional.
Keep Unread intact
Peek a thread without clearing Unread. Copy the full thread. Newest mail stays on top after scoring. Keyboard e / # / s / u in the popup list.
Your inbox, back under control
Unsubscribe the sender. Sweep the leftover pile.
Bulk unsubscribe & archive, scam checks. No API key. AI optional.
Limits, stated
What this page does not claim
- It does not unsubscribe every list in one click. Per exact sender is the product.
- It can replace Checker Plus for Gmail for popup actions and everyday notifications, while adding sender cleanup. Checker Plus offers additional voice and notification controls.
- It does not run on your phone. Gmail's own Manage subscriptions does.
- It does not send mail through a TriageBox server. Optional AI goes from your browser to the key you added.
- It is not a bulk-mail / marketing tool, and it is not for anyone else's mailbox.
- It is not the page for deleting old mail by age. That is a different job: delete old emails in Gmail.
- It is not the page for checking phishing. That is a different job: Gmail phishing checker.
- It is not the page for a waiting-for-reply list. That is a different job: Gmail waiting for reply.
Quick answers
Bulk unsubscribe Gmail
Can I bulk unsubscribe from Gmail?
Gmail's own Manage subscriptions view (rolling out on web and mobile) unsubscribes one sender at a time. TriageBox is a Chrome extension that unsubscribes per exact sender — List-Unsubscribe / one-click POST, including from spam review — then lets you sweep that sender's leftover mail with a live count before anything moves. Whether the sender honours the request is outside TriageBox; success is not machine-verifiable.
Does TriageBox unsubscribe from every list at once?
No. Unsubscribe is per exact sender, so a company's statements can survive while its marketing stops. There is no "unsubscribe all 400 lists" button. You pick the sender, unsubscribe, then confirm an exact count to archive or delete the leftover pile.
What happens to old emails after I unsubscribe?
Unsubscribe only asks the sender to stop future mail. The backlog stays until you act. Bulk sweep groups by sender, domain, category or age, re-counts live ("412 to archive, 23 starred kept"), and archives, files or deletes that group after you confirm. Delete is red, behind a second confirmation; past 200 threads you type the word. Undo records what ran. Archived mail stays in All Mail; deleted mail sits in Gmail's Trash for 30 days.
Do I need an AI key to unsubscribe or sweep Gmail?
No. Badge, popup actions, bulk sweeps, unsubscribe and the no-key scam checks work after you connect Gmail, without an AI key. Summaries and 0–100 scores are optional if you add a Gemini, Grok or OpenRouter key. Provider limits and optional AI charges apply.
Does my mail go through a TriageBox server?
No. There is no TriageBox mailbox backend. The separate public support service counts anonymous likes; it receives no Gmail content. Processing runs in your browser; Gmail data is not sent to the publisher. Optional AI requests go from your browser to the provider whose key you added.
